The session begins with the children learning how to connect the Lego WeDo hub to the computer using a Bluetooth connection, and then learning the basic programming functions to control the motor, lights and software.
The class then watch an introductory video before following instructions to build Milo. Upgrading, decorating and adding features add to the fun and creativity whilst learning more practical engineering skills.
The activity can be extended by adding a motion sensor, tilt sensor or by joining two MIlos together and working collaboratively with another pair to create a robot that can be steered around the table.
